The #BringBackOurGirls group(BBOG) has called on the federal government to work towards bringing about the release of the remaining 197 abducted Chibok girls.
Speaking during the group’s sit-out, a member of the group,  Fatima Abba-Kaka, stated that the girls have stayed too long in the hands of their captors and urged the government to hasten the process for their release.
Abba-Kaka added that  families of the remaining girls and Nigerians are anxiously waiting for their return, and prayed that the same joy that the families of the released girls felt will visit the families of the remaining girls as they witness their return.
Recall that 57 of the girls escaped after they were abducted by the Boko Haram sect while one was found and 21 released 197 girls are still missing and needed to be rescued.
The BBOG group after the abduction of the girls, had promised to be the voice of the girls by amplifying the message for their rescue .
The group which organised several protests and daily sit-outs on the issue of the Chibok girls, had promised that it will continue to stand for the girls until each of them is accounted for.
The group even after the return of 21 girls, stated that it is not giving up hope on the remaining girls but will continue its advocacy until the girls are returned to their families who are anxiously waiting.
While commending the military and the government for the giant strides of securing the release of 21 girls, the group urged for proper rehabilitation, and re-integration of the returned girls.
