NIGER State Police Command has said  it rescued one Mohammadu  Idris of Satin Fulani in Tafa Local Government Area from kidnappers.

Idris was rescued by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad, the  Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, told Northern City News on Sunday.

Elkana said one of the hoodlums, Isah  Dikko, was arrested  while others escaped with  bullet wounds.

He said the operatives recovered one locally-made single-barreled gun.

Meanwhile, the police have rescued five persons abducted by kidnappers who invaded the residence of the District Head of Rings through Sarari village in Kagara Local Council.

It was learnt that the victims, Amara Samila, Talatu Isiyaku, Umaira Isiyaku, Fauziyya Yusuf and Isiyaku Samaila were rescued by police operatives unhurt.

Ekana advised the people against joining “these kidnappers that don’t mean well for the state or face the wrath of law.”

He added, “The command will not rest until all the kidnappers are brought to book. They must leave kidnapping business otherwise the law will deal with them decisively. The suspects will be charged to court after investigation.”
