The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a notorious syndicate of terrorists’ collaborators and informants that specialise in receiving rustled cattle from the terrorists.
The police also recovered 12 stolen cows from the collaborators.
The command said it was part of the efforts to tackle the ongoing attacks and kidnapping around the state and its environs.
The Police public relations officer, SP Gambo Isa said that “On August 12, at about 14hours, based on credible intelligence, the operatives of the state Intelligence Bureau (SIB) katsina Command succeeded in arresting two suspect who have been identified as secret informants to the group.”
The arrested suspects were identified as Abdullahi, a 40-year-old from Gobirawa village and Jafaru Aminu, a 50-year-old of Unguwar Nachibi.
HumAngle reports that both suspects hail from Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state.
Isa added that in the course of investigation, the suspects all confessed to have received the cows from “the bandits” along the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina state.
The axis is close to Birnin Gwari of Kaduna state. They added that they had the intent to dispose of them.
According to Isa, investigation is still ongoing.
