The Adamawa state government will convene an inter-religious stakeholders meeting in the state, to review the use of Hijab (vail) by Muslim women faithfuls in insurgency prone local government areas of the state, following last Friday’s bomb attack which claim many lives.

The position was made known, after an emergency security meeting, which held at government house Yola Sunday, that was attended by security service chiefs in the state.

Briefing newsmen shortly after the EXCO meeting, Adamawa State Commissioner of Information and Strategy Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, said convening the inter-religious meeting become necessary in view of the fact that, the Friday’s blast was committed by two teenage female suicide  bombers who disguise in Hijab to unleash the mayhem.

He said, government has directed traditional rulers and political leaders from the  affected areas to return to their base and monitor the situation and report back to government to fast track on the spot assessment of the situation.

“Government has mandated all medical personnel from that axis to provide health services to the victims, while team of doctors and nursing student from the state capital have been drafted to the affected area.

“What is most importantly needed by the victims in Michika general hospital  is blood donations to the victims of the blast,” he said.

Sajoh however pointed out that, the government has directed Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) to mobilize relief materials to support the victims and relations of the blast with immediate effect.

The Information Commissioner, said security agencies in the state and theatre of conflict, have agreed  to increase good working synergy so as to support each other.
