Daughter Of Former Lagos NURTW Chieftain Kidnapped In Abuja

Some unknown gunmen in the early hours of Saturday, August 21 2021, invaded the Abu0ja Residence of Mr. Sulaimon Akanbi Owowale, a former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) wing of Idumota Garage, of Lagos Island Region.

The heavily armed invaders reportedly kidnapped Lateefat Amori Owowale, the daughter of the NURTW chieftain who was with him at the time of the attack.

As of the time of filing this report, the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force are said to be on a serious manhunt for the abductors of Lateefat.

Family sources also added that the whereabouts of Sulaimon.

An eyewitness account, however, stated that Sulaimon was able to escape from his attackers by sneaking through the back door before the gunmen could gain entrance into the apartment.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that the attack and kidnap may be politically motivated.
