A group of ex-militants under the aegis of Niger Delta Development Movement, NDDM, has commended the Federal Government and the Ministry of Niger Delta over the appointment of Mr Tikari Danjuma as the National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Riverine Protection Programme.
National Coordinator of NDDM, Mr Paul Toruwei, who spoke recently through the Public Relations Officer, said: “The appointment of Danjuma, as National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Riverine Protection Programme and Mr Collins Oturubo, as the Delta State Coordinator, are the most welcome developments of the moment. They are qualified for their respective positions and they will perform very well to the expectation of Niger Deltans and the country as a whole.
“We implore the government to take advantage of the peace building efforts of the duo and their determination to protect the oil facilities in Niger Delta.”
