ILORIN-There was pandemonium in Adewole area of Ilorin,Kkwara state capital Sunday afternoon,when a young man suspected to be a dealer of human parts,was caught by irate mob and lynched to a point of coma.
It was the timely arrival of police officers from Adewole Police division that prevented the suspect from being lynched to death.
Already,his Toyota Car from where offensive odour was said to be oozing out from, which led the suspicious members of the public to stop, search and discovered the human parts was burnt beyond recognition, before the irate mob pounced on the suspect.
The suspect had already been arrested and being interrogated by the police to know other suspects connected to human parts dealing.
Vanguard reliably gathered that luck ran out of the suspect when his Toyota Car developed mechanical fault, around Adewole area in Ilorin,and so stopped and opened the bonnet of the car to check the engine.
It was during this period,that passers bye smell offensive odour from the inside of the car, and alert was raised as to what could be terribly smelling from the faulty car.
The mobilised crowd was said to have approached and challenged the Toyota car owner on what was causing terrible odour coming out from his car, to which he could not offer satisfactory answer.
This lead the angry crowd to search the car and one leg, two arms, human skull were found inside a black nylon bag in the booth of the car.
Contacted, the Police Commissioner in Kwara state, Mr Olusola Amore confirmed the incident.
His words,”It is true that a man was caught with human parts today. He was being beaten at Kudimoh area of Adewole on Sunday.”
” There was a crowd trying to lynch the man. Infact they had set ablaze his car because
they discovered that some ordour was coming out of his apartment. ”
“On a closer look, they discovered that he had human parts, skulls and other parts, while they were trying to lynch, police was informed and moved to the place and got the man arrested.”
” We arrested him so that we can know other people connected with that business they are doing.
“The case is now at Adewole but the State CID will take over the case. We are going to get to know who and who are involved with him “presently, the case is under investigation.”He said.
