In December 2016, Lagos State Government had announced the beginning of the enforcement of restriction of “Okada” from plying highways, bridges and the 475 roads identified in Schedule II of the Road Traffic Law 2012.
Among other things, the law was made to forestall accidents which are many times fatal involving commercial motorcycles on such roads.
