Many people were injured on Monday after rampaging hoodlums took to the streets of Agbado in Ogun State and unleashed mayhem.

The hoodlums, suspected to be members of Marindoti, Farm, Federal and Bolar cult groups, engaged in fierce battle near the Agbado Station.

It was gathered that the fight which started since last week, was caused by rivalry over women.

The hoodlums wielded dangerous weapons such as cutlasses and bottles.

They destroyed people’s shops, vehicles and homes, littering the area with shattered glasses.

Although no life was lost in the fracas, shop owners, motorists and passersby sustained injuries.

The command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), said he was unaware of the incident.
