According to Daily Trust,  the terrorists came in large numbers, causing confusion in the area, and took 18 residents along with them. However, it was gathered that the police are presently in the area calming the situation.

Muhammed Jalige, police spokesperson, was not immediately available for comments when contacted by HumAngle.

The Kaduna State Government had, due to heightened insecurity, suspended daily markets in seven local government areas, banned the transportation of livestock within and into the state, and felling of trees for commercial purposes.

The government also announced the suspension of elections in four local government areas before the last Saturday polls where a nine-year-old girl was killed by a stray bullet during the elections.
