The British High Commission in Nigeria has debunked media report suggesting that the British government had set up a meeting with President Buhari, former President Jonathan and representatives of Niger Delta groups to discuss a solution to recent violence in the Niger Delta region.
In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, it stated that the British government was aware that President Buhari is currently in London seeking medical attention but it is not aware of any meetings on the Niger Delta while he is there.
Recall that President Buhari left Nigeria for London, on Friday,June 6, 2016 on a 10-day vacation to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist.
